Well, as far as I understand it..... If you like something someone said, or think they deserve a boost, click the "exalt" link and it'll increase their karma. If they are annoying or stupid, click "smite" and it lowers their karma. It's just something for fun I believe...there's no reward or cash prizes for karma  Hope that made sense! |

hmmm....let's see...I could use a tivo.... Just kidding, actually I like exalting people. And I've never smited anyone...yet...I imagine stuff like that comes back to bite you in the ass. Kinda like real karma  *exalts* |

What's a tivo? can u eat that with whipped cream on top? mmmm *goes to google tivo* *edit: ok, so it's a recording device guess you could try to eat it, but there'd be consequenses. *edit2: ah! can only exalt 1 a day, appearantly. this time it was joss, so who's next?! w0000t, almost as thrilling as Lost!! |

I bet it would feel good if i could get your monster to hit his little plush arms on my back. Like a little monster massage.
I look at the karma points as a way to see if the other people on the board like you and agree with what you're saying. I'd be lying if I said I don't look to see if I've gotten anymore karma points.
It would be cool if Jack mailed us a Lost Podcast T-Shirt for every 10 karma points we got. Even a coffee mug would be nice.

I think it's also an indicator for whether or not you need to "shape up your act". If you're rude to everyone, you're going to lose points. If you're nice, you'll gain them. I think it also has to do with punctuation in your posts...I'm not even going to try to dechiper exactly what karma is. But you're right anywaysding, I could use a coffee mug. ;D
