I'm not going to lie, I feel bad for you Jack. Not only are the Chargers playing WAY below expectations/ ability but the Padres were on the losing end of one of the best baseball games I've ever seen(although I don't watch much baseball). Stay strong Jack and remember, There's always next year BTW: I must admit I was rooting for the Rockies (just for the amazing story of it all) but if its any consolation, I think Holliday was out.

Thanks, I feel worst for Trevor Hoffman. The guy is a class act. Last nights game was a good one, but the best game I ever saw the Padres came out on top. It was 1984 game 4 on the NLCS against the Cubs. Best game I ever saw in person. I'm still hoping the Chargers can turn it around.

I agree Hoffman does not deserve the criticism he is getting right now.Even the best closer of all time isnt bullet proof.
Although I don't root for the Chargers (1. Steelers 2. Packers) I don't root against them either. However they just need to shut their mouths and play football. You can have all the ability and talent in the world and talk yourself up to be the greatest team but when you get out on the field you better back it up. Also I don't claim to be smarter than Norv Turner but IMO he has to be held accountable for last weeks game. LT needs to touch the ball more than 6 times in thr second half, regardless of the score.

I feel bad for Trevor too, he looked so sad! But he shouldn't have blown two games! Just kidding, he is a good guy. Funny you mention the 1984 game, that was the best game I have ever seen in person also. It was very exciting. I think I was so pumped up after the game that I smoked a cigar.

Quite the beatdown the Chargers laid on the Broncos. Not as impressive as the Steelers blanking the Seahawks but pretty good.

I'm a newbie Chargers fan. Started watching when Philip Rivers went there. No clue why they hired Norv. What a joke. And I'm irritated w/ the SD folks pointing to PR as the problem. He did great in a system that actually worked (under Marty). Now, nothing seems to click. LT is sub-par, and the D gave up 296 yards to one back. ARGH!

I agree with you about Norv, but one of the big problems on Sunday was the play of PR. Teams are putting 8 to 9 guys at the line to stop LT so he doesn't have any room to run. PR has to start hitting the guys when they're open. One problem PR had was at times he didn't have time to throw, but even when he did he was throwing behind the receiver. Sunday's lost was a team lost. If they play like that this week, the Colts will kill them. It's time to fire Norv and hire Bill Cowher.
