Jack, I agree with you that one of the characters on lost is likely to commit suicide. Just the nature of the beast.
However, I find it hard to believe it would be Micheal, no matter how bad he feels. The only way he would kill himself is if Walt dies.
As I recall, you also suspected that Locke might have lost the use of his legs in a botched suicide attempt. THAT I find easier to swallow. We still don't know how Locke lost his legs.
Anyone else?

Part of me thought Ana Lucia might one day kill herself, but Michael shot that theory down along with Ana!
Could be regarding Locke, Annie. I can definitely see that "very special" flashback in season 3 or 4.
As far as who's most likely to prematurely end their stay on the island now, I'd have to agree with Jack and say Michael, but that's only if something has happened to Walt. A healthy Walt = a Michael that wants to go on living.
Second place would have to go to Vincent, sadly. He's had way too many caretakers in a three month period. I think Hurley should take care of him now that Libby is gone.

Hurley and Vincent would make a good team. A super hero, sidekick kinda team. Theres just something about teh two characters that really make them work together lol.

Agreed, shakezula. Hurley was kind of close to jumping off the cliff. I'm glad he didn't.

Do you mean in his backstory, redsox? Wouldn't that be something if Jack Shephard was the attempter? Wouldn't see that coming.

Maybe in his flashback he'll come close, or at least become a rebel. Getting tatoos......maybe that's when those will come into play!

Yeah, I was thinking about the flashback we may someday see when he is somwhere in Asia (where was that? he told Sawyer about it during the poker game). That could be a dark chapter in Jack's life. Maybe that was his healing place as well, and the tatoo refers to that time. Very early in Season 1, he said something about taking 8 seconds and then taking a deep breath and finishing an intense job. I think his tatoo refers to that as well, because it looks like a little clock. Maybe he contemplated suicide for 8 seconds or even flatlined for 8 seconds before coming back . . .

If someone commits suicide, knowing lost, it'll be someone we haven't expected to do something like that at all.. LOST has a tendency to be surprising and shocking. A fact you've probably noticed by now

Jack said he was in Puhket (sp?), Thailand.
I agree with you, Mithrandir, but I can't seem to figure out who. ?Charlie? Things get really tough, he goes back to heroin, and overdoses?

But Charlie really isn't out of the question for commiting suicide. He is one of the people I'd expect to do that.

Yeah, O.K.
My least expected one would have to be . . . Claire.

My least expected would be a tie between:
Clare (has Aaron) Sun (is pregnant) Eko (not something a spiritual man typically does)

What about Jin? Maybe Sun lied and there's another father candidate. Jin finds out and that's too much for him to take.

I like that one, Jesusstick. He's gonna be devastated when he finds out the baby belongs to Michael. . .
