They make it sound like who Mr. Sawyer is will be someone important...maybe someone we already know. I still don't agree with the theory that Locke's Dad is the real Sawyer, but maybe someone else who has been on the show before.

Ohhh...What if it was Kate's dad...wouldn't that be a nice tie-in?

I can see that happening. It seems more plausible than Locke's father at any rate.

Which Kate's dad are you talking about? I am assuming the bio-dad she fried in the house fire. Sam Austen, soldier dad, doesn't seem the con man type. Kate's bio-dad, Wayne, would be a good choice for the original Sawyer. What a twist of fate that would be. We've sort of had a hint that might be the case when Kate thought Sawyer was channeling Wayne.

Actually, I didn't look at it like that before Annie! Kate believing Sawyer was channeling Wayne when he's been doing it since his parents deaths would be an awesome connection!

yet another one.. THE HUNTING PARTY - Jack, Locke and Sawyer pursue a determined Michael after he heds into the jungle toward the dreaded "Others" in search of Walt. Meanwhile Sun has a surprising reaction to Jin's desire to join the search party, and Hurley and Charlie commiserate over the age-old conundrum of "what women want," on "Lost,"

That WOULD be interesting if Kate's Dad was the original Sawyer. He certainly seemed like the type. We didn't learn Wayne's last name, did we?

Is it Ryan? Kate's last name is Ryan according to the seating chart at Oceanic Air. Kate's soldier dad's last name is Austen. Did her bio-dad end up adopting her? He could use Sawyer just the same way Sawyer uses it, as an alias nickname. Does anyone else remember this song besides me? Dashn? Artist: Rush Song: Tom Sawyer A modern-day warrior Mean mean stride, Today's Tom Sawyer Mean mean pride. Though his mind is not for rent Don't put him down as arrogant His reserve, a quiet defense Riding out the day's events The river What you say about his company Is what you say about society Catch the mist, catch the myth Catch the mystery, catch the drift The world is, the world is Love and life are deep Maybe as his skies are wide Today's Tom Sawyer He gets high on you And the space he invades He gets by on you No his mind is not for rent To any god or government Always hopeful, yet discontent He knows changes aren't permanent But change is What you say about his company Is what you say about society Catch the witness, catch the wit Catch the spirit, catch the spit The world is, the world is Love and life are deep Maybe as his eyes are wide Exit the warrior Today's Tom Sawyer He gets high on you And the energy you trade He gets right on to the friction of the day Sounds like our Sawyer.

I love Rush. 21:12 = one of their best.
But listen to some Coheed and Cambria if you really like Rush, since they're very comparable.
