Just thought I'd tell you that Santee was unaffected by the San Diego fires, since the two of you once lived there. It was mostly the backcountry that got hit. It was still scary because of the winds, though. You didn't know where the fires would go next. We still have fires in the county, but the winds have thankfully gone down. Do you remember a TV-reporter named Larry Himmel? He lost his home in the fire, unfortunately.

I am sure Jack remembers Larry Himmel, he was on his old show a long time ago.

Do you remember a TV-reporter named Larry Himmel? He lost his home in the fire, unfortunately. Was that the guy who did a report from outside his house as it was still burning? I saw that on either a local or national broadcast here in Philly - not sure which - since for some reason the local ABC station covered the fires out there like we lived there - they actually sent 2 reporters out there.

yeah he was reporting as his house was on fire!! right in front of him!! that must have been hard!! ill have to ask jack if we could youtube it?? if i can figure it out?? i dont think it was that good but i dont really remember!!
