I just got a lovely gift certificate for I-tunes. In one post Jay, can you name one Queens of the Stone Age song and one Jeff Buckley song that you think I should check out. Colleen and anyone else is free to jump in on this topic and recommend any songs for me to check out. Thanks! ;D Oh and this post just earned me 'God' status

Congratulations on 500+ posts, Danielle! I'm not keen on the name they give for it, though. No one will ever be as great as God. Anyway, that's not what this post is about. I wanted to suggest some music by my favorite band, The Juliana Theory. Anything from Understand This Is a Dream or Emotion Is Dead is a must. Love is great, too. I especially love the songs "Constellation," "Is Patience Still Waiting," "Jewel to Sparkle," "Congratulations," "Piano Song," "August in Bethany," and "Don't Push Love Away."

Personally, I like the acoustic version from "So Real: Songs from Jeff Buckley" better. Either that, or "Grace" or "Lover You Should Have Come Over"

Lets see for Buckley my personal fav would be So Real any version, but as an introductory to Buckley i'd say Grace, or Hallelujah.
As for QOTSA I'd say go with "In The Fade" "Better Living Through Chemistry" or "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" on the album Rated R. "No One Knows", "Go With The Flow", Mosquito Song" on Songs for the Deaf. "Long, Slow, Goodbye" from Lullabies to Paralyze. and id go for "3's & 7's" of the latest album Era Vulgaris.
I think those are all pretty good introductory songs to QOTSA, and Buckley ;D
