Hey Jay,
I have been listening for awhile now and was curious if anyone has approached you yet with sponsoring your show or if you have pursued advertisers at all? I watched the vidcast from your LOST panel at comic con and it seems you have a fairly substantial listener base. I know this is not your full-time gig, but I would think you could attract an advertiser with a small amount of effort.
I also listen to this pod cast about comics called Ifanboy and netflix is one of their sponsors.
I can tell you put a lot of effort into your pod casts from the music to the format of the show. Is working in media something you are trying to pursue professionally?

I don't know.
I think its possible to still keep the friendly atmosphere, but inject alittle sponsorship. It fits if Jay and Jack are given a script to read a commercial from instead of a prerecorded file that is played. It works without being that intrusive.

As a listener I wouldn't have a problem if they put an ad at the beginning or end of the podcast. I thought Jack had Ferrari as a sponsor already?

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. After all, J&J spend a lot of their free time with recording, editing and answering feedback. It shouldn't really be a part of the podcast though, more like a short ad at the beginning ...
