I was proud of Birmingham in the auditions. When the judges rejected the contestants, everyone just said "Thank you." No one got belligerant and showed their low-class. In the very end, it was obvious Randy and Simon were trying to get a rise out of the lady and she didn't get upset at all. Thanks Birmingham for not showing your rear end.  I thought that was very cool, and boy did they stun the judges |

Bev..did you watch last night? From San Antonio? A few good ones....I liked the very last guy...the one they said reminded them of Ruben...and the young country girl named Baylie...the girl they brought back for a second chance was good too..but I agree..she did make some funny faces. Do they start the actual Hollywood shows tonight? I'll have to catch it tomorrow...since..well....I'll be a little busy watching something else tonight  |

I liked the guy that said he was going to pretend to get mad for the cameras for show. That was so funny.
I did not like Baylie. She sounded too much like other country singers. And I was confused. They said she did not have the best voice, but she was commercial. I thought the point of the show "was to find the best there is."

In my opinion, almost all country singers sound a like. At least the guys. Then again, I don't listen to country music that often.

So, a question to everybody, who is your favorite Idol contestent this year? For the guys, I personally think that Chris Sligh is awesome! (He so reminds me of Jorge. ) For the women, I think that Gina Glockson is pretty great. So, who's your favorite? |

I really like Chris S also, but then I like Blake Lewis too, and the other Chris, for the ladies, Jordin first, then Lakisha, I think that Jordin is awesome for just being 17 yrs. old. I think that Gina is great when she's being a rocker, that's really her style. I think that Melinda has a great voice, but I just don't care for her personality, not sure why though. I think it's because of how shy she acts sometimes.With that voice she I would think should have more confidence in herself the way Jordin does. Those are my favorites for now anyway |

You know why I don't like AI? I was flipping through channels the other night, and some guy totally butchered "You Really Got Me"
It's my dad's favorite song, so I had to show him. All he said is that he didn't like "that goofy-looking guy ruining the song"

Personally I think this is the worst season of Idol yet. No one is really outstanding. Lakisha and Melinda are the best.
I think those 4 that were in the quad group during Hollywood round it was, Chris, Blake, and the other 2 I can't remember. I think all 4 should have said forget Idol, and started a group together. They sounded better.
And to watch Sanjaya butcher "You Really Got Me" was a travesty on rock music. The only reaon he is still on is because the little girls love him (No offense Tokyo Rose.) In my opinion he is horrible. He needs to go back to more classic slower songs like at the audition. He was better. He should never be allowed to sing a rock song ever again.
But I do hope he wins, because it would make Idol look more like a bigger joke.

Ok Gracies mom, who do you think is going to go all the way after tonight's show, I am sticking with Blake, love that guy, Jordin wasn't as good as she has been, although she is still my number 2 choice, I think that Chris R did a great job tonight. Now God don't strike me down for this, but, I even liked Sajaya tonight, I thought he did a great job on his song choice, and I never thought I'd ever say that about him. I will still say that Lakisha and Melinda have great voices, but, I just can't take Melinda's shyness, and Lakisha just seems so much older that the rest of them even though she sure can sing. I really like Phil's voice, but, he needs to show some personality.
Well those are my thought's on tonight's show and I am sticking with them ;D ;D ;D

Howdy Bev...and everyone... Ok...I'm with you on Melinda, I think now it's more of an act and it's really annoying, plus she doesn't represent what my idea of American Idol is, she dresses like she's from 1952 each week and every song she sings sounds the same...Lakisha can "SANG" I am dying for her to sing come Aretha, maybe RESPECT....but she's not going to win, she's starting to believe the hype and she's losing her touch, Chris and his Justini Tmberlake impersonation is beyond annoying..he is far from original and he'll go soon I think, Phil has been in the botton three each week...and he should have gone by now, Sanjaya is going to be around for awhile because of all of the backing from VoteFortheWorst and Howard Stern and Perez, sadly, I think he too is believing the hype, I don't think he gets that he's a joke..I'm really pulling for Jordin to win. I don't think any of them did well with the Latin week, I thought that theme was lame, but J-Lo has a CD to cell. This coming week is COUNTRY week, hopefully Jordin will sing something fun from Shania or early Dixie Chicks *before they became all political* I'm curious to see what song Melinda sings...doesn't matter, it will sound like 1952. Blake is ok...but I'll be honest, he's not my favorite. I'm backing Jordin through all of this, she's cute and young and I think she would be more popular than....what was his name? Taylor Hicks...who hears from him anymore? I think Kelli Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are the most famous Idols so far...but I think Jordin could join them. SO....Bev...that's what I think *aren't cha glad you asked?&* |
