I watched both episodes, and there is not one person that I found really outstanding. There was the one guy that sang Journey and I could not believe that Simon was not going to let him through. I mean come on the guy sounded good singing Journey. But I was completely disgusted with the way Simon made fun of that guy whose eyes were kind of sticking out. I mean the guy was 23, to Simon he is a kid. You know I understand that these people go on the show, but they try their best, and do something that's not easy. And yes the kid did not sound good. But for Simon who is a 40 year old man to make fun of this kid is disgraceful. I actually wanted to cry for this kid, because he just looked so down. Make fun of his singing, but don't make fun of his appearance. Because I'm sure he has had gone through the teasing a lot in his life. A grown man should not be making fun of him. Simon needs to grow up, otherwise he will say something to the wrong kid, and that kid will commit suicide. I have to agree with you on this one, the people do put themselves out there, and I can't believe that they think that they have any talent, but making fun of the way they look is just so wrong. I can see it when they are wearing a costume, I think then they are asking for it, but to make fun of their personal appearance is sad to me, and I don't find that to funny. I believe the reason that they don't show many of the good talent is because they save that for later when they get down to being serious. Last night they had a young girl on the show, very pretty and I believe that she was only 16 yrs. old, she could really sing, I loved her, and I think that she'll be in the final 12. I saw tonight on one of the entertainment shows that on the View, Rosie O, had a real problem with the way some of the people were being made fun of, let's hope that the judges all get the message that making fun of a persons appearance or laughing with the person that made a comment doesn't make for a good show. I know that it will turn me off if they keep it up.

This is the process of the auditions- First, you try out for another set of judges. The best and the worst to move on to see Simon, Paula and Randy. The ones with the no talent are actually led to believe that they may get a positive response. That's why they seem to be shocked to hear they have no talent and look like total fools.

not to offend the idol fans, but i just don,t see the point. i live in the same town as that guy Elliot, and when he came home, people were lined up w/ signs right by my house, yelling "yay Elliot!" it was sooooooo annoying. DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE AN IDOL FAN!! seriously. i warned you. don't get mad. I hate American idol. Simon is an self-centered loser. even the finalists are no-talent wannabes. this show is not even the smallest bit entertaining. American idol goes along with git-r-done as things that are destroying the fabric of America. i apologize to anybody who read this and was offended. this is just my opinion. sorry. really sorry.

I take it you have never seen The Simple Life with the skank twins: now that is the worst form of entertainment...ever But people didn't take that seriously. I'm willing to bet that almost everyone who watched it knew they were watching garbage. That isn't true for Idol fans, which I why I think Idol is worse. Again, sorry to people who like Idol...

you guys think American Idol is bad? try watching Canadian Idol... it's even worse. No offense to my fellow canadians, but they have a really bad host, they fired the comedian, the judges are sooo boring (they basically try to be like randy paula and simon), and the whole show is just...boring! And the winners from the past few years have gone no where, i havent seen the first winner since he won. The only singing show i like is Rockstar

To me it's more like a train wreck well, maybe I'll spoiler tag this like other people are doing... ...a train wreck where such horrible things have happened to the victims it makes me ill to look at it. I feel rather sick to my stomach every time I think about Idol, and how many people watch it.

The auditions recently have been interesting. Simon is trying to be nicer this season but it doesn't work. Randy was always crabby a couple weeks ago. Oh well, some of the singing is good actually, some of it sounds like everybody else on the radio, and most of it is absolutely horrible.
