i'm pretty sure its my memory failing me but i seem to remember some things that just dont work out... if i'm not crazy, Claire lives in Australia and was going on the plane to Los Angeles to get to the family who would adopt the baby...but then in a flashback Claire decides against putting the baby up for adoption....so why was she on the plane? please help me i believe i have forgotten or missed something and i don't understand

she decited against that family and than she went back to the phycic (sp?) dude and he told her that it was okay if someone elce who raised the baby but it had to be a certain family in los angeles and she had to take oceanic 815, and it had to be that flight and that family.
