Mentioned this somewhere else but after listening to Jay and Jack rip into Charlie mercilessly, I had to post here too in defence of our lovable Brit. So, about the ranting against Charlie's nonchalance at having his gun easily spotted and Ana not asking him how he got it: Well if you'll all remember, Sawyer layed the ground rules to everyone that night, if you want a gun you have to go through him. If I saw Charlie with a gun after that display by Sawyer, I'd just assume Charlie had to do something for Sawyer to obtain one. Simple. Ana knew there was no point in asking him how he got it, he wouldnt tell because it was probably humiliating, considering this is Sawyer we're talking about. So anyways. Happy birthday Jay.  |

charlie most likely didnt hav to do anything to get the gun off sawyer anyways being as charlie helped sawyer get the guns in the first place, so charlie probably only had to ask sawyer and he wud hav given charlie a gun for nothing
but as for charlie making it visible, if it wer the case that charlie got it off sawyer for free because charlie helped him take the guns, i wudnt make the gun visible if i was charlie because if ana or seyid asked him how he got it, he wud hav to make a story up but being as ana and seyid are most likely the only 2 people on the island who can tell if sum1's lying, charlie would hav been caught out

To them there's nothing strange about him having a gun, not strange enough for them to interrogate him or anything like alot of people are saying Ana should have done. |

well in the promo for this weeks episode we see a tiny part where seyid has a gun, maybe they did that whole scene where ana sees gun - charlie takes out gun - gives gun to seyid jsut becuase they needed a way for seyid to hav a gun in the next episode

They had the scene last week not just for tomorrows episode. Charlie was carrying a gun because he knew he could have one. He's in with Sawyer and it makes him feel special to have a gun. So when Ana Lucia said someone else should have the gun, Charlie knew she was right and wanted to make her feel dumb. He's been trying to make himself feel and look better ever since he stole the "baybay."
