I was just wondering when everyone became addicted to Lost. I know for me, it wasn't the pilot, in fact, I missed it, because I worked. I also worked the next morning, unloading a Pier One truck, and listened to the others talk about the pilot. It sounded kind of silly, but I decided to try and watch an episode. I then went through the phase of watching it every now and then, THEN iTunes took it up, and I went into rabid Lost fan mode.
How did you become addicted?

Actually it was the pilot episodes that got me hooked but I didn't see them until long after they aired.
I remember the first scene that I ever saw from Lost. It was from Exodus when they were travelling up to the Black Rock to get the dynamite and the monster came after them. Based on that scene, I thought the show was about monsters and it didn't really seem that interesting so I didn't continue watching.
It was during the 6 week hiatus that I decided to give it one more chance. I got all the episodes from the first season and watched them from beginning to end in a little less than 2 days. I was hooked. I got the second season episodes that were available and that's all she wrote. Haven't missed an episode since.

i knew Lost was my favorite show after episode 4 Walkabout. I didn't watch the first season while it was going on or either the first part of season 2. We decided to rent the first season, and we had taped the episodes so far of Lost so we could watch them in a row.
I remember that part at the end of Walkabout with the Locke theme and him getting up from the sand then it fading out onto Locke lokkin into the fire. Right then i was like "WOW this is Awesome!" and we continued watching the first season and the 2nd and i have never missed an episode and I have the whole first and whats so far of the 2nd season on my ipod. It's just a great show

from the season finale of the first season. My mom had been watching Lost since the beginning, but i'd never really gotten into it much, because i'd never been home to watch a whole episode, but i saw the season finale and got hooked. I think it was when arzt blew up. During the summer i went back and watched them all.

Great question!
I actually got intrigued about it when I worked an ABC press junket for their new shows. We were all hanging about watching them do their green screen stuff and I don't know, even without knowing much about it at the time, it seemed interesting.
When the pilot aired, I thought it was great and was hooked.
I became ADDICTED with Locke's reveal at the end of Walkabout. I was just like "OMG! WOW!!!!!" I totally never saw it coming and was just amazed. The rest is, as they say, history.

Well, I missed the the whole first season when it originally aired. I didn't even hear about it untill my last years English Teacher kept talking about it and saying how great it was. So a few Times I would turn it on for like 2 minutes. I didn't like it at first because it was in the middle of the season and I didn't know what was going on.The first scene I saw was Charlie running through the path to find Claire. And I was like OMG, Its Marry from "The Lord Of The Rings".At the time I was a big LOTR fan. Anyway, school ends and it was SUMMER.Yay! I went to blockbuster with my Mom to pick up a movie. But there were none avalible. So my mom was like " Why not rent LOST, I heard it got great reviews". At first I didn't want to get it because I thought there were better movies somewhere. But she said we need to go, so I rented it.When I saw the pilot of the show I said OMG this is the greatest show ever.So I guess I have to thank ,y mom. ;D

A friend of mine at work told me about the show, after both pilots had aired. he told me that i had to check it out. usually i am a slacker when people tell me to check things out. i was bored at home on a thursday evening, and remembered that he wanted me to check out the show. so, in my boredom, i did a search on my Tivo, for Lost. well wouldn't you know it, they were rerunning the Pilot part one and two back to back the next day (a friday). so i figured that it wouldn't hurt to try recording it. well it recorded and sat there for a day. On saturday morning i was Bored, yet again, waiting for my Wife to get ready, so we could start our weekend. Saturday morning cartoons were over, and there was nothing good on the Tivo. so as a last resort i decided to watch a little bit of LOST. well, i got to the part where Dr. Jack has his first flashback on the Plane. i paused the show, went into my room and told my wife that she HAS to check this out. i started the episode over again, and wouldn't you know it, when that first flashback with Jack on the Plane scene came up, she was riveted! As soon as we saw the Polar Bear, we realized that this show was something we hadn't seen before. I am sure you all know that feeling, otherwise you would not be here today, reading some dude from Anaheim's story.Anyway, i have watched every episode Live since "Tabula Rasa". As I type this post, the track "Parting Worlds" from the Lost soundtrack is playing, and it is bringing a tear to my eye. This is the Greatest Television Show of All Time! jack, hand me a tissue.

I was clueless about lost. And then that day came where i was zapping thru some channels, and the Lost logo was popping up, and I started my Lost journey right there. It was all coincidence. I did zap 42 times though, so mayb it was karma, or Dharma. All this was like a week or so before season 2 started, so no crazy long summer hiatus for me back then.

The summer is what I'm dreading. I got into Lost in the second season and most of the way through the 6 week hiatus also. The longest I've gone without lost is probably this past 2 week break. I'm going to die over the summer. Hopefully Jay and Jack can keep me alive.

trust me people when i say this. the summer will SUCK. plain and simple. the worse part of the sumer haitus is the few remaining days before the first episode. talk about dragging on...WOW! hopfully i am preparing you to brace for impact. let's just hope they release the season 2 dvd sooner in the summer break than they did season 1 dvd. i think we got a week or something to enjoy our dvd before they started season 2. that is not enough time to get people hooked.
stay strong mi amigos.

lost had me at hello... and by that i mean the pilot. i loved it there but i think i became ADDICTED(!) when i started listioning to Delta Park Project Gets LOST. I became obsessed when i started listioning to Jay and Jack, and i became slightly more obsessed when i startedlistioning to Scott ad Steve (not that scott and steve didn't effect me, they got me intrested in mindless conversation)

I went home to Texas for a few weeks in Novemeber and a friend of mine was having a LOST party while I was there. So the first episode I saw was "The Other 48 Days". As soon as I got back to NY, I put the first season at the top of my Netflix list and downloaded all of the 2nd season episodes that had aired. Then I was hooked. By the time "The 23rd Psalm" aired, I was back in Texas at my same friend's LOST party and I was the most obsessed out of the whole group. I still call them after episodes to flip out, since I have no one in town to talk to about this crazy show.
