Ok, ok, you can all go off on me about the bed being for Claire, but there was a bed (besides the crib) in the nursery, I think it might have been for Walt. How would the Others know that Aaron was going to be a boy? Claire didn't even know. So, they did the boy decor in the room because that's where they planned to keep Walt, as well.

That's an interesting theory. I'm not going to go off on you about the bed being for Claire because it obviously wasn't. Ethan told Claire that she wouldn't be allowed to stay there and Claire obviously accepted that.
So, barring a Zeke/Aaron slumber party, I think it's plausible that it would have been for Walt. Although it's decorated for a much younger kid than Walt.
Another option is that it was going to be used for someone to watch Aaron. Like a nurse or something.

or that other little boy that got taken, he was younger than walt wasn't he?
I think Dharma might have known it would be a boy, with all their medical mumbo jumbo.

I'm pretty sure that for hundreds of years, there have been stories of people, primarilly women, that can determine the sex of a baby before it is born. IF one believes that Walt can make things happen with his mind, and that the numbers might be cursed, why wouldn't they believe that someone knew from some intuition or vision that the child would be a boy?
As for the bed, I am inclined to think it was for some nurse to take care of the baby. I don't imagine that they would keep Walt in the same facility. Why would Walt need to be in a medical hatch, and wouldn't they put all the kids together? including the two they stole from the other camp?

in some of the flashs that clair sees you can a baby scan thing.
where they baby is in the women but looks like a potato.
u can see the scans and the machine in the flashs
so thats how they knew it was a boy.
and i think 1 of the doctores would have stayed with him.
plus the bed might have just been there while clair was there, then once they killed her they get rid of the bed

I think that the bed was for Alex, Possible, she was going to be put in charge of taking care of Aaron.

Way back when, Claire says something along the lines of "He's kicking!" after she had noticed he hadn't kicked since the plane crash. She then said "I guess I think you're a 'he'"
Most likely everyone else, including Ethan, caught wind of this.
