I am an avid fan of Film Music. i love film scores and would like to start up a convo about Michael Giacchino, and his music for Lost!
i was sitting here on my computer, listening to my iTunes, and noticed that the music from the Steven Soderbergh film "Traffic", composed by Cliff Martinez, sounded very similar to the music in Lost. the orchestrations sounded so similar to Lost, that it got me fired up for tonights episode.
if anyone has any opinions on the music from the show, whether it is Score or Source Music, go ahead and post?

I think having a full orchestra to do the music for each episode makes LOST cinematic and more epic than regular television.

i do too! i am glad someone realised that by doing it this way, that it would add a great deal of depth to the show!
my mom says that the music in Lost makes her uncomfortable! and that has to be the greatest compliment for the composer

Yeah I agree. The music is supposed to make the viewer squirm in his or her seat. Hitchrooster would be proud!

This is all very cool. I don't think enough people really pay attention to the music score of film. I can only hope the CD comes out soon because I'm in need of some new music.

Thats cool. I just hope its available at a bestbuy, target, or any other store. I'd hate to buy it online for $15+shipping. Although I'm sure i-Tunes will have it up as well. Thanks for the good news Ralph the Rogue.
