Tell me more about your idea, Matt. You think Christian Shephard wanted to lure Jack Shephard to Australia specifically? That is interesting. Well, it's more of a hunch. I just see these people not being chosen at random for Flight 815, and Christian perhaps being part of a larger scheme to get Jack to Australia. I don't think he intended for Jack to come to Australia, meaning I don't think he was in on it; I think the Shepard family was manipulated in some way, as most of our Losties were.

I've wondered whether Christian had some Dharma connection in the past. Like maybe he did some research of questionable ethics for them or something terrible happened when he worked for them. I wondered if that is what really drove him into alcoholism, some personal Dharma disaster. Does anyone know where he did his medical training? It would be really interesting if it was at the University of Michigan.

If Dharma did play a hand, somehow, in 'fixing' Sarah, it's quite possible Christian was in on it; it would've been tough to slip something by him in the hospital. Perhaps he was aware of some plan about Jack and drank himself to death out of guilt?

As a parent, I know that Dharma would have to have some really strong case for me to knowingly betray or lead my kids into danger. It would have to be something like, "If you don't lead Jack to us, we'll kill him." OR else it would have to be something that I believed in above all else.

For Sarah to have had a successful operation - really, that sort of procedure is impossible to the best of my knowledge - I think we're talking about a deal with the devil. The appearance of Christian - and the disappearance of his body - on the island is also interesting. Is he, or his ghost, trying to communicate with Jack in some way? There's still a lot to tell in Jack's story, that's for sure.
