How great was it to finally find out about the stick! That it had scriptures written on it, and when Charlie said, "what are you gonna do? Beat me with your Jesus stick!" I was laughing so hard. At least a mystery was solved with the Nigerian plane, but now we wonder, how did it end up on the same island as Eko? Awesome episode!

Charlie had the best line. Something about his scripture stick being covered in dried blood. Hilarious

Totally! I think the line was something like, "What are you going to do, beat my head it with your scripture stick? Don't think I didn't notice your Jesus stick was covered in dried blood."

By the way, anyone got a screenshot of what was written on the stick? I know it was a bunch of verses from the bible but maybe they have or will have some significance. The only one I remember clearly seeing was "Revelation 3"...but it was probably more specific than just revelation 3 because that's pretty long. Anyone interested, here's revelation 3: www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%203;&version=31;And yeah, I cracked up at the "Jesus Stick" line...

I'd have to take a closer look later, I was more fascinated with the flashes in the black cloud.

BTW, A screencap of the writing on the "Jesus Stick": lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=839&pos=28One thing I find interesting which I guess is explaing later on by him not really being a priest is him writing "Revelations" on the stick. Calling it "Revelations" is a common mistake, the correct short name for it is "Revelation" (the full title is "The Revelation to John"). But, like I said, I guess that's explained by him not being a real priest.

We had a really good picture and discussion of the stick a couple weeks ago on a different thread. I can't remember which one, though. Sorry. Jeremy?

We had a really good picture and discussion of the stick a couple weeks ago on a different thread. I can't remember which one, though. Sorry. Jeremy? Oh, well, sorry if I'm repeating discussion here...I'm just going with what thoughts I'm having after last night's episode... And d**n, if I had seen a pic of the stick a few weeks ago, I coulda made a pretty solid prediction. d**n, Oh well...

I didn't see the discussion either, it's ok. Stuff from Lost can always be resurfaced.

Anyways, I'm still on the passages on the Stick. At the top is written "Psalm 144". i looked it up and the first line of that Psalm is very appropriate to be putting on a killing stick, "Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle." (full passage: www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%20144;&version=31;)By the way, I want to clear something up being new here and all. I'm not a some kind of relgious nut, though most of my posts so far have been Bible-related. I was just raised really Catholic and, well, you talk about what you know...

It's ok. I also have a religious background, and I don't think you are a nut.
