New question - if Charlotte grew up on the island and was there the same time as young Ben, did Ben recognize her when they met? He spouted off a biography of her when they first met by the water, but it sounded like he had gotten it from a file or the internet. If I remember correctly, he wanted to kill her. This could put a damper on the people holding out hope that Ben could be a good guy. I think Ben knew she was Dharma and therefore working for Widmore, so he wanted them off the island or dead. Widmore told Locke that he needed to be back on the island before the 'war' started or the wrong side could win. Are you saying that Ben is the wrong side? Why would Ben preserve Locke's body and get it on the plane if he didn't want Locke to return to the island?

It would be interesting to see if Ben's info is wrong. Maybe then we'll find out where he was getting it. On another note, there could be something else going on; Ben was talking to Richard when Juliet was being shown her sister and nephew in Florida as if Richard was the one taking the video. Richard also gave Locke the red file folder chock full of info on Sawyer in "The Brig" and had a conversation about Ben making people forget about why they were really there. RICHARD: You mind if I, join you here.
LOCKE: Nah sure.
RICHARD: He wanted to embarrass you.
LOCKE: I'm sorry?
RICHARD: Ben knew you weren't gonna kill your own father. He put you in front of everyone in our camp just so they could all watch ya fail.
LOCKE: Why?
RICHARD: Cause when word got back here that there was a man with a broken spine on the plane who could suddenly walk again, well, people here began to get very excited because that, that could only happen to someone who was extremely special. But Ben doesn't want anyone to think you're special, John.
LOCKE: And why are you telling me this?
RICHARD: Ben has been wasting our time with novelties like fertility problems. We're looking for someone to remind us that we're here for more important reasons.
LOCKE: What do you want from me?
RICHARD: I want for you to find your purpose. And to do that, your father has to go, John. And since you're not gonna do it, I'm gonna suggest someone else. [He hands Locke a red folder. Locke looks at it briefly as Richard walks away]
LOCKE: Sawyer! Why would Sawyer kill my father, he doesn't even know him.
RICHARD: [As he leaves] Keep reading.
I smell subterfuge. And knowledge about what will and won't happen.

I don't think anyone has touched on this yet, but why was Horace in a car with a woman named Olivia in Man Behind the Curtain on the day Ben was born? Why wasn't he with his wife? Lostpedia calls Olivia (the woman he was with in that episode) Olivia Goodspeed, however that can't be right seeing as he would have just had a child with Amy. Behind the scenes scripts and other sources have listed her as Olivia Goodspeed, but that doesn't mean it has to be his wife... Brothers and sisters have the same last names too (at least until one gets married and changes it)... If you read the whole Lostpedia post on her it even says as much could be possible. Ben born in early early/mid 60's. Amy had baby in 1977 right before Ben comes to island as early teen. events separated by a decade or so. Olivia was first Amy later. (and as said by others Olivia was not necessarily his wife.)

That was very cool...thanks for sharing. He did seem to say LaFleur at the end but the voice saying"none of that matters..." sounded like Faraday.
